Bear Down Chicago Bears

Last weekend hubs and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary one more time.  He had been mentioning for the last few years wanting to go to a Chicago Bears game.  I had never been, so I thought it would be a great idea for us to go together.  I ordered tickets back in August and gave them to him on our anniversary.  We were both excited to go!  We had ahhhh-mazing seats in the north endzone.  I won't lie it was cold- but we got to experience a Bears game all bundled up and had a great time, even though they lost.  It was fun and I am already looking forward to going back sometime and eventually making it a tradition with our future children.

Pictures from the game

After the game, we headed back to our hotel, complements of my company.  We stayed at the Palmer House.  It was very nice!
I wish I would have taken pictures while we were there- it was all decked out for the Holidays with some gorgeous trees!

After getting cleaned up we headed to Ruth's C*hris Steak House.  We had a great dinner with my company.  It was awesome planning on my part to get tickets for the weekend my company had a meeting in Chicago! :)  I didn't plan it at all- I just happened to pick that game and a few months later I was invited to the meeting.  It worked out great.  We got a few days away and we got to enjoy some of the luxuries of Chicago.

Pinterest

Lately, I have discovered the world of pinterest (Need an invite?  Just let me know!)  Follow me here.  I love looking at all of the different ideas that others have as well as design aspects.

Some of my favorites lately have been design/remodel ideas.  Jeff and I are toying with the idea of a major renovation at our house.  We've pretty much decided that we are going to be here for awhile, so we might as well make it like we want it.  Here are some ideas I have found that I would love to go into our renovation.

Bathroom-  We have  a full bath in our master bedroom that desperately needs work done!
something very sleek, yet traditional
-a tiled shower
-no bath tub ( we have another bathroom with a tub)
-NO CARPET ON THE FLOOR!!!
-calming color
-functional, something that doesn't require lots and lots of time to clean and keep organized

More ideas later

It's time to keep up on this!

I have been blog absent lately--again.  I am going to try and make writing down my daily happenings at least once a week, if not two.  The last few weeks have been pretty slow around here.

Jeff & I had a nice Thanksgiving by ourselves.  He has been working a lot, so we just stayed home.  I made a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and dressing.  It was pretty good if I do say so myself.

This weekend-well tomorrow- we are headed to Soldier Field!  I got Jeff tickets for this game for our anniversary back in August.  I was hoping that by this time in the year he would be able to have the whole weekend off and enjoy Chicago.  Unfortunately, he's working so we will be heading up tomorrow morning and staying until Monday.  It worked out well that my work has a conference on Monday in Chicago so we'll stay overnight and then I"ll head to the conference while Jeff gets to chill out.  If you're watching the game we are in the north end zone in row 16.  I'm excited to go because I have never been to an NFL game, but I love me some football!

Can we...

Can we all please pray for some rain?  Hubs has worked the last 29 days straight.  He needs some time off to relax and rest and catch up on his sleep.  I feel horrible for him working so much and keep telling myself it's only a phase it won't be like this forever.  Let's hope it's not like this forever...

Fall 2011

Last weekend I went to Mahomet to watch Sid play soccer in his last game of the year.  He is pretty talented- well when you compare him to the other 4 year olds on his team- he's very talented.  He knows how to take the ball down the field and is notorious for scoring quite a few goals each game.

After his soccer game I drown another 45 minutes south the Tuscola to Ashley & Derek's house.  I finally got to see their home which is very nice!  They have lots of room for future babies :)  When I got to their house we went out to lunch to a little diner in town with very good food.  After lunch Ashley's parents arrived and we went to the Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur.  I had never been to Arthur before and it's a cute little Amish town.  I'd like to go back again and hit the little shops.  At the pumpkin patch we went through the corn maze, bought some pumpkins, took some pictures, and headed to the bakery.  I picked up some homemade noodles and Ashely's parents picked up some yummy baked treats.

Ashley and I have been friends since we were really young. We went to school together from preschool- Senior year.  We still are very good friends and I'm so glad we have stayed in touch!

We took this picture of Derek just for fun- he's almost 7 feet tall- the sign stopped at 6 feet.  He decided he wants to be as tall as the top of the "T" next year!

We all had dinner at Yoder's family restaurant which was great food.  It was a buffet- but the buffet was all homemade food- so good!  And the homemade peanut butter- delicious!

Football days...

Yesterday morning, I went and watched Levi play football.  He is a quick little guy and tough as they come!  Reminds me of my days with the RHS Football team and all of our great memories.  Here are some pics of Levi- #38.

Catching up..

I haven't blogged in a long time so here's a catch up of our lives the last few months...

July 25th Jeff & I gained a niece: Aubrey Elizabeth was welcomed by Neil, Kelli, and Big Sis Mady:

In August my busy season at work kept me very busy!  I worked over 100 hours in 6 days and was completely exhausted.  After the fair Jeff took me on a surprise trip for our anniversary and birthdays.  I didn't know where we were going until the day we were leaving and we went to LAS VEGAS!  We had a great time and wouldn't mind going back for a few days again in the future.

We took a trip to the Hoover Dam.  I"m so glad we did it was really incredible to see!

The hotel we stayed at Caesar's Palace

The last day we visited Madam Tousous (sp?) Wax museum.  It was pretty neat to see- and see how short I am compared to Shaq- I didn't even reach the bottom of his number!

The fountain show at the Bellagio.

When we got home we celebrated our 1 year anniversary.  It's so hard to believe it's been a year already. A year ago August 21, this is what we were doing:

We've been busy lately and this week I will update on our last few weekends!
