Blair is 1!

This is a few days late, but we were soaking up every single moment of Blair's first birthday! Pictures and more coming later today :)

Blair,

You are 1!  My, oh my, how the last year flew by!  You are amazing little girl with a great personality, and you are SO SO SO LOVED!

We go to the doctor this afternoon, so I'll update with all of your 1 year stats :)

You are in size 2 diapers still, you wear 6-9, 9-12 and 12 month clothes- it just depends on what brand we have and what size you need.  You are in size 3 shoes and have the cutest silver glittery shoes.

You are still nursing, taking a bottle, drinking from a sippy cup, and loving your "real foods."  You aren't a fan of pasta at all, in fact you will put pasta with meat in your mouth and figure out how to spit the pasta back out at us.  It's really funny and Daddy and Mommy laugh each and every time!  You love yogurt, any kind of meat, and cheerios.

You are walking, running, and starting to climb.  You are completely given up on crawling, because you have figured out that you can run and get there faster.  You are such an explorer- you love to just walk around the house and look and touch things. You know exactly where your room is and where your book basket is and sometimes if we just let you go, you will walk in there and sit on the floor and look through your books.  You also know how to close doors that are open, and love to do that repeatedly.

In your 11th month, you got to celebrate Christmas, New Year's and just this past weekend your birthday.  You were very cautious at Christmas at first, but learned that opening up your gifts was a lot of fun.  You are very loved by our friends and family and Mommy and Daddy weren't sure all of your gifts would fit in our house.  And then we had your birthday party and we were even more sure that we will need a bigger house soon!  For New Year's, we stayed home and Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Tim, Anthony, and Jimmy came over for dinner.  You went to bed at your normal time and all of the adults stayed up.

You are typically down for bed between 7:30-8 and are back up for a feeding around 3, then back down until 6:30 or until we have to wake you up.  Some nights when you are really tired you will just walk into your room and up to your crib and we know you are ready for bed.  We have been able to transition you from being rocked to sleep to just putting you down tired and you've started sleeping better since that.

You have been the best baby and we are so lucky to be your parents.  We were slightly scared at the beginning knowing that we were going to mess up or do something wrong, but we quickly learned that what we were doing was right, even if it wasn't by the book.  It was what you wanted or needed.  Most of all we love you more than you will ever know.  You made us Mommy and Daddy, titles we love having.  You are the happiest girl, and we know we are so lucky to have that.  We can't wait to experience many more firsts with you as you grow into toddler-hood.  You will always be our little tater.

We love you!

The last weeks of August

I've taken a little blog Vaca- much needed and I was able to get caught up on everything that was needed.

Since I blogged last we have:
-Attended the Farm Progress Show
Jeff, Brian, Abbi, and I all went down to the Farm Progress Show on Thursday.  We were able to look at all kids of new ag equipment and get lots of goodies.  Jeff & Abbi had never been and I think they had a good time and we saw lots of neat things.  It was warm, but not too hot.  Blair stayed with Grandma because it would have been too much for her and it's not exactly the most baby friendly place to go.
Brian Checking out the new Gleaner.

-Celebrated Jeff's 30th Birthday

We had a party at our house- I"ll get pictures from it uploaded soon hopefully!  We had friends and family and enjoyed the evening outside celebrating him!

-Met Sadie & John Luke from Duck Dynasty :)  On the way home from work a local radio station was having a trivia contest.  I just happened to have a good guess and got through on the phone lines and I was right!  YAY!  We love to watch Ducky Dynasty so we were pretty excited!
Funny story about Blair's feet!  In the Line for the Meet & Greet, I had Blair in her carrier.  I had Sadie & John Luke sign our tickets for the game.  It was also Blair's first baseball game.  John Luke said oh I thought you were going to ask me to sign your baby, he said he always wanted to do that.  I saw sure you can sign her and he was really taken aback.  Well needless to say he signed our baby and then told us to wait a minute because he wanted to take a picture of her and her signed foot with his phone.  So now, John Luke has a picture of Blair! :)  We had a good time and Blair enjoyed her first baseball game...asleep for most of it.

-Celebrated my birthday and Labor Day
Blair and Grandpa before the Thresherman's Parade
Nap time before the parade recovering from a late evening at Daddy's birthday party!

-Enjoyed time as a family!  Out little monster is so mobile now!  It is so fun- she will follow you through the house crawling, we have 1 step in our house and she has mastered that, and she has taken a liking to touching Kuba (not sure he is a fan of that!).

Such a ham!

Blair is 5 months

Blair,

You are 5 months old!  We have been having so much fun with you and enjoying all of the changes that have taken place.

You are around 13-14 pounds.  Not really sure and we don't go back to the doctor until July so we'll find out then.  You are still in Size 1 diapers, but size 2 will be coming soon we are sure.  You either nurse or take a bottle every 3 hours during the day.  You are sleeping most of the night from about 7pm-6:30am.  You are usually up around 2-3 to eat but quickly fall back to sleep after you are done.

You roll all over the place.  If there is something that you want and you aren't next to it, you will take off rolling across the room or however far you need to go to get it.  You can sit unassisted, but not for a very long time.  Although each day you sit longer and longer.  You have found your voice and love to just squeal and scream and then laugh at your self.  Speaking of laughing, you have the best giggle!

We have been busy visiting family and friends and you have gotten to go with us wherever we go.  You are so loved!!

Catch up again

The last few weeks have been unusally busy.  Jeff has been working a LOT!  It's a miracle if we see him before 8 or 9 at night.  I've been picking Blair up and coming home and getting everything ready for dinner, get her bath, books, etc. done for the night and getting her to sleep.  Then it's on to getting things ready for the next day.

Today is a vacation day for me.  We had some other plans made, but those changed so I"m just hanging out with Blair.  She's getting to sleep in today and I -well I should be too but I"m up blogging and cleaning.

A recap of the last few weeks.

Blair got to go to her first parade- albit- a tractor parade we just happened to drive up to last weekend.  We knew it was in the area, but didn't know it would be in our town.

We went out to celebrate Grandma Iverson's birthday last weekend.

We went and visited Tim & Lindsay and Blair got to meet Tottie & Bailey.

We have been to several softball games.  Jeff & I are both playing, although I haven't played much because it's too late to have Blair out and way past her bedtime.  Jeff hasn't played a lot because he's been working so much.

Blair and I have gone on lots of walks-loving that it's actually warm now and it's some what summer.

We have lots of things coming up in the next few weeks so hopefully I can stay on top of blogging them and get some extra blogs in here and there too!

A catch up of sorts

Our poor IMac had the hard drive crash a few weeks ago. I just had time to take it on last week. Thankfully the tech was able to save our documents and pictures off of the old one. I am now grateful that I hadn't deleted any photos from Blair's birth or since then. You can bet I will be setting up a backup.

Blair has perfected rolling over front to back and back to front. She seems much happier to be on the move so to say. She has been rolling all over toward toys we move away from her or toward us if we position ourselves away from her.

We have been busy despite Jeff not getting his typical overtime. The rain seems to be never ending lately. It really needs to stop.  Our garden needs weeded and the rest of the CEOs need to go in.  We made a few trips to Saybrook but never feel like there is enough time there. Grandma great is in the hospital with what we have been told is now a mild stroke. So upsetting no major problems or limitations but its hard on anyone to see a loved one in the hospital.
More frequent updates in the coming weeks because our computer will be back soon and we got new iPhones. Momma updated from her dinosaur phone and is loving it :)!

Blair is 3 Months old!

Blair~

Today you turn 3 months old.  Each month, I write to you during the time that you were born-9:45 am.  You have blessed our lives for 3 months on the outside and we love you more and more each day.  You have been a great baby and we love to watch you grow.

You are in size 1 diapers.  You still have some newborn clothes that you wear, but mostly you wear 0-3 month or 3 month.  I think you are around 10- 10 1/2 lbs, but not really sure.  You don't go back to the doctor until next month! During the day you take 3 bottles at Grandma's and at home you nurse every 2-3 hours during the day.  Your bed time is usually around 7:30-8 and you wake up around 2am and quickly go back to sleep.  You have slept through the night a couple times and the uninterruped sleep was glorious! :)

You are very alert and will look in the direction of either Mommy or Daddy talking.  If you are upset and hear our voices you will settle down.  You love to lay on the floor and kick and squirm and you are very close to rolling over.

This week you have been a little fussy, but you had a bump on your gums and were running a slight fever.  You love to chew on your hands and the frozen teething ring, so we think this may be the starting of your teething.

In the last month, we have gotten to do a lot of fun things.  You celebrated your first Easter, you went to Bass Pro Shops for the first time, you got to spend an evening with Abbi and Brian, and we went on a lot of walks when it was nice.   Last night was your first real Spring storm and it was a doozy!

Blair we love you and the changes that take place daily are amazing.  We are so lucky to be your mommy and daddy!

2 Months

Blair-

You are 2 months old.  We will say this every month, but it has flown by.  At your 2 month check up you were 9 lbs. 1 oz. and 20.25 inches long.  Your doctor says you are a great, healthy baby, but just a peanut.  You are in the 5th percentile for your weight.  At your appointment you got 3 shots.  You cried the worse cry we have ever heard and broke Mommy's heart!  You are still in newborn diapers and newborn clothes, but they are quickly getting small on you.  You are still a great eater and are still breastfed, you do get bottles but have no problem going between the two.  Mommy is very happy about this and very happy to have a brestfed baby!

Over the last month, you have been awake more and we are loving it.  We have a schedule pretty set and your awake times are always the same.  We love that one of your awake periods is in the eveing and we get to spend it with you.  You love to lay on the floor with Mommy and Daddy and Kuba and just smile and make noises.  Your smiles are the best!  Kuba loves to give you kisses- Mommy and Daddy are always close by.

On your 2 month birthday Mommy had to go back to work.  You stay with Grandma Iverson during the day.  Mommy takes you before going to work and Daddy picks you up.  Each day Daddy says that grandma and grandpa are home and we are pretty sure you are spoiled by them!  Uncle Mikey and Timmy like having you around too.  While with Grandma you take 3 bottles and have no problem thankfully!

You have gotten to go with Mommy and Daddy lots of places and people love to see you- they always tell us you are so little and so cute!  You got to go to your first FFA Auction and did really well until it was bedtime.  We went home and you went straight to sleep.  You also went to the Flanagan Community Sale, but it was so cold we left after about 10 minutes.  On the last day of mommy's maternity leave it was really nice so we went on a walk- you looked adorable in your sunglasses :)  You also go to visit Grandma and Grandpa Pfoff at their works and made their day's!!

Baby Blair Smiles!

We love you so much tater-tot!  You are growing so fast and changing everyday.  We love that you respond to our voices and if you are upset you calm down if you hear one of us.  We cannot wait for all of the new memories that we will be making and all of your first's we get to experience with you!

Love,

Mommy and Daddy
