Don't forget us....

Hey guys! I hope you’re all having a great week! This is kind of a techy post, so I’ll make it short and sweet.

Don’t use Google Reader as your reader? Then you’re fine! But if you do, I recommend switching to Bloglovin’. I have no clue why Google Reader is soon to be gone. But, I have made the transition to Bloglovin’ to read up on the blogs I follow.

It was actually super simple and literally took all of 3 minutes. You just create a Bloglovin’ account and in the process it asks if you want to import the blogs you read on Google Reader to your new Bloglovin’ account. Click the button to import and that’s it! The platform looks similar to Google Reader… Don’t worry if you don’t see your blog on my list of reads…I subscribe to most of them via email. :)

And if you prefer to read your favorite blogs on your phone or iPad, here is the Bloglovin’ app! Thank you all for being such loyal readers. I feel so lucky!

Now go get your read on and Follow my blog with Bloglovin'!!!

Midweek Randoms

Today I'm linking up with Megan at In this Wonderful Life.  Check out her kiddos- so cute!

-Last night Jeff & I picked more green beans and canned them.  We are going to love having these this winder.

-The rain we are getting could stop for a few days at least.  I'm getting tired of seeing soybean and corn fields with large lakes in the middle of them!  Oh and my hubby works in agriculture so this rain affects him a lot!  Last year we couldn't get a drop of rain- this year it isn't stopping.

- We have been really bad about not planning out our meals the last week or so.  Last night we had frozen pizza and then I topped of the horrible eating with. . .  an Ice Cream cone.  Tonight will be better grilled pork chops, fresh green beans, and a salad

-  The drive to and from work is getting so boring, I need to find a good book to listen to or a good cd or something

- Blair has been so much fun this week.  I've said it before but she rolls all around the room when you put her on her blanket on the floor.  She's getting mobile- guess I better start baby-proofing.

-  My busy season at work is just a few weeks away- not looking forward to it.

-Adult league softball will be over next week.  I think this is my last year, just takes away too much time at home- even if it is only 1 night a week.

-I'm looking forward to our weekend, even if it will be busy again.  Blair will get to meet some family she hasn't met yet and we get to celebrate our nation!

Our weekend (June 21-22)

Last weekend was very busy for us-  Daddy was in a wedding!

Friday night we all went to rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.  Blair did so good!  She didn't make a sound the whole time.  We sat in the back of the church  during rehearsal and she just took it all in and got lots of attention when the bridal party was practicing the entrance and exit.

After rehearsal we all headed to dinner.  It was about a 20 minute drive and she slept on the way there.  When we entered the restaurant we found our table and sat down and got Blair out of her car seat...again not a sound out of her.  She took it all in and was passed between Jeff & Myself and a couple friends.  We were out way past her bedtime and she did go good!

Saturday Jeff had to be at the church early, so Blair and I hung out at home and went shoe shopping.  I got myself 2 pairs of shoes and I got Blair her first pair of Toms-look a likes.
They are the cutest albeit still big on her, but she'll grow into them.
When it was time for the wedding my parents came to our house and stayed with her because the wedding was adult-only.  I am so thankful for having my parents take care of Blair that evening.  She is lucky to have both sets of grandparents close.  It was nice for Jeff & I go have an evening to ourselves, but I missed her terribly.  We had a great time with all of our friends that were there.

Sunday was another busy day- Jeff had to return his tux, so him and "Uncle" Tim went to Bloomington to do that while Blair, "Aunt Lindsay," and I attended Baby Koeller's baby shower.  We had fun and Blair was adored by everyone again!

Sunday evening, I finished up some crafty projects and we canned Green Beans.
We put up 8 pints and 2 quarts with just half of the first picking.  We are looking forward to putting away lots of veggies for the winter and being able to enjoy our garden throughout the year.

Needless to say, we were all really tired by the time Sunday night rolled around and all slept well!

Week 2: What I Live For

I'm linking up again with Becky at From Mrs to Mama for 52 weeks of blogging.  This week's topic: "What I live for"

I live for family time. I love being home with Jeff and Blair. The days we have nothing are my favorite. Sitting on the floor while Blair squirms around have become interesting.

I live for extended family. Weekends at my parents house with my parents, brothers, sisters in law, nieces, and nephew. The times we break out in spontaneous games and naps.

I live for the holidays this year especially Christmas. It has always been my favorite and I can't wait for Blair's first.

I live for the milestones and firsts that we get to experience with Blair

I live for being a mommy. The most incredible job that I could ever have.

I live for weekday afternoons at 515 when I get to pick up my baby girl. I will never tire of the smiles when she sees me. It makes having to work just a touch better knowing that she is happy to see me.

I live to be the best wife I can be. There are days I don't have things together but I know Jeff still loves me and knows we have rough days. He's my shoulder to cry on and my biggest fan.

Lastly,  I live for myself. To be the best mom, wife, sister, and ain't I can be. I show my love to those around me and work to make myself the best I can.

Blair is 5 months

Blair,

You are 5 months old!  We have been having so much fun with you and enjoying all of the changes that have taken place.

You are around 13-14 pounds.  Not really sure and we don't go back to the doctor until July so we'll find out then.  You are still in Size 1 diapers, but size 2 will be coming soon we are sure.  You either nurse or take a bottle every 3 hours during the day.  You are sleeping most of the night from about 7pm-6:30am.  You are usually up around 2-3 to eat but quickly fall back to sleep after you are done.

You roll all over the place.  If there is something that you want and you aren't next to it, you will take off rolling across the room or however far you need to go to get it.  You can sit unassisted, but not for a very long time.  Although each day you sit longer and longer.  You have found your voice and love to just squeal and scream and then laugh at your self.  Speaking of laughing, you have the best giggle!

We have been busy visiting family and friends and you have gotten to go with us wherever we go.  You are so loved!!

One year ago was a day we will never forget. It was our first appointment at the OB after the initial blood work. Jeff and I went and were both nervous because I was told I'd have my first ultrasound. I was around 6 weeks along. I remember being so nervous and just praying everything was okay. We had the ultrasound first and I will never forget when they pointed out our baby. The tech then said well there it is and there is only one. I looked at Jeff and he said dang I was hoping for twins. The the tech saw the flicker of the heartbeat. I believe that was when tears started we had a healthy baby growing with a strong heartbeat. We got some pictures ones we will cherish forever.

The first picture of 'baby Iverson' as we referred to the baby during the pregnancy.

Baby Iverson aka Blair 1 year later.   5 months old!

A day we will always remember that brought us the best gift ever our daughter.

52 weeks of blogging with a purpose: Who I am

Today, I'm linking up with Becky at From Mrs. to Mama

I am....

A new mother. Blair made me a momma in January and I'm learning more and more each day about motherhood... The good, the bad, and the ugly. I have learned that you can read anything and everything but you are going to be the mom that you were raised to be. I love her more than I ever thought I could love someone, each day I feel the need to do better for myself so that I can do better for her.

I am a daughter. My Mom & Dad taught me many things and have shaped me into who I am today. Without their guidance and support I would not be the person I am today.

I am a wife. An ever changing title and always working hard to be the best wife I can be to Jeff and momma to Blair. Striving to balance marriage life with motherhood and learning how that balance is achieved.

I'm a granddaughter, great-niece, niece, cousin and all around family person. Family has molded me into the person I am and continues to play a major role in my life. Whether it be from afar or close I am a very family oriented person. I am a learner. As I have said before I am always learning. Learning things about my job, my life, my self, my child, my husband, or my family. Striving to learn something new motivates me to do good for myself.

I'm a friend...a friend that texts only a few, calls even fewer, but still loves to keep in touch with my friends as much as I can. My downfall- keeping in touch with friends, especially now that I have a baby and she's my priority.

Who are you? What do you want for yourself??

Catch up again

The last few weeks have been unusally busy.  Jeff has been working a LOT!  It's a miracle if we see him before 8 or 9 at night.  I've been picking Blair up and coming home and getting everything ready for dinner, get her bath, books, etc. done for the night and getting her to sleep.  Then it's on to getting things ready for the next day.

Today is a vacation day for me.  We had some other plans made, but those changed so I"m just hanging out with Blair.  She's getting to sleep in today and I -well I should be too but I"m up blogging and cleaning.

A recap of the last few weeks.

Blair got to go to her first parade- albit- a tractor parade we just happened to drive up to last weekend.  We knew it was in the area, but didn't know it would be in our town.

We went out to celebrate Grandma Iverson's birthday last weekend.

We went and visited Tim & Lindsay and Blair got to meet Tottie & Bailey.

We have been to several softball games.  Jeff & I are both playing, although I haven't played much because it's too late to have Blair out and way past her bedtime.  Jeff hasn't played a lot because he's been working so much.

Blair and I have gone on lots of walks-loving that it's actually warm now and it's some what summer.

We have lots of things coming up in the next few weeks so hopefully I can stay on top of blogging them and get some extra blogs in here and there too!
